What makes a good style/fashion blogger? Being creative with outfits or sticking to your own style and wearing it well? Having a closet full of luxury labels or making a Forever 21 dress look expensive? I read a variety of blogs and I noticed that all of them dress differently. I have no set type of blogger I enjoy over everyone else. I like professional countryside photos just as much as iPhone photos taken on a city sidewalk.

A lot of people are saying that blogs are a dying profession. I don’t intend on making my blog a full-time job, and I would never consider this an investment in my future. It’s something I do for fun and to show other women with my shape things they could wear. But I’ve noticed a lot of bloggers sacrificing personal style and creativity for c/o items and affiliate clicks. I like free clothes and affiliate money too, but I never want it to take over my site.

I guess this is me vowing to never bombard any current or future readers with incessant ads and affiliate links. I don’t want to lose my voice. I rather see how my personal style changes based on my age or interests rather than a company’s expectations.

Keep it real.

  • I love your down to earth style! Keep it real:)

  • I think staying true to your voice and not becoming a sell out is so important. I see so many great bloggers who all end up looking the same when they wear the same pieces as the next it blogger and that makes me sad. Its also so sad when you see girls who were all about thrifting suddenly have a closet of new stuff only! I love your pictures and your style. Keep it up girl!
    Have an amazing day 🙂
    Much Love,
