Does this trench make me look 26? I realized the other night that I will be 26 in less than two months, and that’ll put me closer to 30 than 20. I still remember making dresses out of socks for my Barbies and writing about the boys I liked in my 6th grade class in my Lisa Frank journal. When did I become an adult?
One of my main objectives for this blog is to stretch my wardrobe as much as I can to show that you do not need to constantly buy new items to create outfits.
Darker sundresses can become great layering pieces, such as this one from Ruche. It was a flirty, thin dress for the summer, and is now appropriate for fall under a sweater. I may even wear it with my pixie pants and a heavy cardigan and scarf when the temperatures really drop. This is its third time on the blog, why not add a fourth? Functionality. Aw yes.
I’ve had this skirt for years and fell in love with it even more when Grace Helbig of DailyGrace on YouTube complimented it when I met her at SXSW in Austin. Though my friend Albert says it looks like I wrapped a curtain around my waist, I will never abandon this skirt.
