Childhood habits

Like most kids, I made some questionable style choices that I thought looked so good at the time. From headbands that would fall down the back of my head and give the illusion of pigtails to undershirts with holes and safety pins in them, I was a hot mess.

To accommodate my prepubescent beer belly, I would only button one button on a shirt, right beneath my boobs. I thought this made me look skinny and laid back. You know, as all 12-year-old girls should want to look.

Surplus shirt: American Eagle

But here I am, two buttons done up. This basically means I’m an adult now.

Both the tank and shirt are super thin and light, so they paired well with a thick pair of legging pants and booties. As long as the upper half of my body is cool, I don’t have the urge to dump a cooler full of ice on myself and cry in a swimming pool. I hate summer.

I used to think this book was perfect. It greatly described my struggle as a teenager with crushes on people out of my league who would lead me on. It was so witty yet upsetting at the same time. I’m reading it again and I’m so….disappointed. Maybe it’s because I know what’s going to happen, or maybe Tumblr ruined all the quotes, but it just seems so cheesy and rushed now. Has this ever happened to you? I don’t know what to think. Am I a different person now than I was when I read it the first time?

This is my life. These are my first world problems.

Things I may start to love: Game of Thrones. I finally started watching it. Go me.
