I am currently taking a math class. Do you feel my pain?
If you are good at math, and maybe actually enjoy it, I envy you. Math takes a while for me to comprehend, and almost kept me from graduating high school. I’m taking this class online, and there’s only a week left and I think I am doing alright so far….besides doing the wrong assignments for the first two weeks and living with the dread of my upcoming final exam. I am awful at exams.
Top: Forever 21 (It’s actually a dress, similar here)
Skirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Watch: c/o JORD
After math, I am hopefully taking a German class this fall. Working full-time and doing homework is not ideal, but I know this crap will pay off.
But god, math. Make it stop.
I must subconsciously perform ancient rain rituals, because my past two outfit shoots have been wet and miserable. Houston is horribly steamy at the moment, and I can feel my summer blues creeping in. I may be wearing sandals and a sundress, but I would gladly trade them for a jacket and tights and a temperature below 80 degrees.
Dress: Forever 21
Cardigan: Forever 21

What I wouldn’t trade is this JORD watch. It’s made of wood. Wood! I started to forget it was on my wrist because it’s so lightweight. I rarely wear my Michael Kors watch in the summer because it’s heavy and bulky, but this little treasure will pair well with summer jewelry and my more casual work outfits.
A little wood, a little tribal, a lot of heat. Can’t a girl enjoy her almond croissant and latte without simultaneously sweating and getting rained on? Get it together, Houston.
