Floral waltz

I can’t wear a floral dress without hearing my friend Albert’s voice in my head saying, “What’s up, curtains.”

He just doesn’t understand.

This green purse is the closest you’ll ever get to seeing me in green. Don’t put me in a high school classroom under fluorescent lights because I turn into an olive. No really, I glow green.

Have a great Friday (eeee!) and thank you for reading!

Muted: Gray

It’s dreary today so I thought I would dress appropriately for a mini lookbook for anyone that doesn’t plan on wearing rainbow colors on crack this spring. I can appreciate a bright pink dress with flowers any day, but there’s something alluring about wearing minimal color and simple pieces.

Shoes: Modcloth
Necklace: H&M

Sticking with the minimalism theme, I used these accessories in all three looks. A statement necklace and a pair of black wedges are suitable for all seasons, and are extremely versatile.

This is a very cool palette, and the fabrics of each piece are lightweight. It gets extremely hot in the summer, so the last thing you want is an arm full of bracelets and anything other than one layer of clothing resting against your body.

How do you dress for your climate? Do you like a minimal wardrobe or do you enjoy dressing up your looks?

Have a fantastic Monday (ha) and thank you for reading.

Sure thing, Michael Kors.

It started to rain while taking photos so here is a very quick outfit of the day.

I have an exciting evening wear outfit coming this weekend. My boyfriend and I are attending a gala Saturday and he agreed to be on my blog. A miracle, trust me. I have more plans this summer to do a Houston street style post and possibly have a guest blogger. Oh yes.

Have a great Thursday and thank you for reading.
