It was a promise of summer

I did it. I bought jeggings. After years of judging, I actually bought a pair and my god are they the most comfortable pair of pants I’ve ever owned. I even tweeted my praise to @AEO this morning and got a pleasant response. Let’s face it, they’re awesome. (Not just saying this because I’m competing in Project Live Your Life.) (I actually do love AE.) (A lot.)

I may love these jeans now, but I know I am quickly going to trade them in for a dress or skirt as soon as Houston turns into a pit of fire in the summer.

Have a great Friday and thank you for reading!

Pour the Wine

I watch a lot of beauty channels on YouTube, so when I found out that Bethany Mota, the youngest of the ones I watch and who I had the pleasure of meeting at Vidcon this year, was releasing a clothing collection at Aeropostale, I knew I wanted at least one thing. I was immediately in love with this wine colored chiffon skirt when I saw it in store.

Blouse: Forever 21 (similar here)
Skirt: Aeropostale
Jacket: Target (similar here)
Boots: Urban Outfitters
Purse: Forever 21 (similar here)
Necklace: American Eagle
Nails: OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane

It’s extremely windy today and this skirt is lightweight so I apologize to anyone I may have flashed in the Petsmart parking lot. I expected the Aeropostale clothes to be Forever 21 type quality, but this skirt is very well made and extremely soft.

If you’re interested in seeing the rest of the clothes in Bethany Mota’s collection, please check it out here. She’s young but has accomplished so much and is a positive role model for girls. I am proud to support her because of how much she inspires her viewers to be creative and proud of who they are.

Stay warm and have a lovely Saturday.

Painted

Please tell me you transition your nail polish with the seasons. I wouldn’t dare wear a bright pink polish in December, and you won’t find any of the following colors on my nails in the spring.

Much like a dark lip, a dark or jewel toned nail polish in the fall and winter is just stunning. The following four nail polishes are my picks for the Fall/Winter and are just good, no-chip polishes that are opaque with only one coat. I applied two coats in my swatches.
