Nice weather is finally here! No more sweating!
Dress: ASOS (similar)
Flats: Jeffrey Campbell
I’m bringing back an old favorite on this beautiful day. This heart printed dress is such a lightweight little item that does not wrinkle. Seriously. I’ve let it sit at the bottom of my clothes hamper for a week because I was too lazy to put away my clean clothes and it never creased. God’s work.
I finally replaced the black Target flats I threw away months ago with these oh so pointy leather d’Orsay flats. They need plenty of breaking in, which I am doing a little bit each day before I wear them for a full day at work. I expect I’ll get a lot of wear out of these this fall as soon as they stop tearing off my skin.
I spend the better part of my day dreaming about blue skies, cool wind, vibrant flowers and me twirling around like an idiot in a nude dress and a sparkly necklace.
I have my eye on a few blush and cream options for spring.
1. Zara Faux Leather Dress
2. American Eagle Lace Party Dress
3. TopShop Textured Seam Tunic
My skin tone is still way too light for these dresses, but as soon as my body no longer resembles a block of Philadelphia cream cheese, I am buying a nude dress.
To compliment the flirty feminine hue, a sparkly bib is a great addition to add a punch of personality and complete awesome.
1. Baublebar Eve Foliage Bib
2. Stella & Dot Somervell Necklace
3. Forever 21 Be Seen Iridescent Bib
Having once been an advocate for dainty necklaces and unique charms, I have been converted to statement necklaces. I can’t get enough. I want to collect them. I want to own so many that my family becomes concerned and I end up on an episode of Hoarders. Do they still air that show? I hope so, because I need help.
What pieces are you excited to wear for spring? Do you have a current obsession that may result in an intervention? Let’s start a support group.
I took a jewelry class in my last year of college and gained a new respect for anyone in this profession. It requires patience and creativity, and is extremely rewarding. I rarely wear jewelry, but I like to collect interesting baubles and pendants, such as my beloved gold rabbit necklace.
Since it’s the holidays, I thought I would share a few jewelry pieces I’ve spotted on Etsy that may be a great stocking stuffer or a little something special to buy for yourself.
1. Navy Blue Luxe Gold Glitter Triangle Stud Earrings – $13
2. Statement Bib Necklace – $35
3. Initial bracelet – $18
4. 14k Yellow Chevron Stacking Rings – $33
The stacking rings and triangle earrings are ideal for someone who wears minimal jewelry. A statement necklace is the perfect addition to any monochromatic outfit or little black dress. Initial bracelets are just so darn cute.
Support small businesses this holiday season. A unique piece of handmade jewelry is memorable and the perfect gift for someone you love.
