Yesterday I was featured on Style by Patty’s blog for a guest post I wrote for her “What Style Means To Me” Latina bloggers week. I enjoyed reflecting on my style journey and my insecurities as a Latina woman for the post, and took accompanying outfit photos. Click here if you’re interested.
Look at me wearing heels. This isn’t right.
Skirt: Banana Republic
Necklace: Forever 21
Earrings: American Eagle
It is so hot. My waist was super sweaty after taking these photos, but this skirt makes it so worth it. The pattern reminds me of a winter forest, and will transition well into the fall. I look forward to styling it with over-the-knee socks, boots and a sweater. But for now you get my sweaty ass in heels and a black top I haven’t stopped wearing for the past year.
I can’t believe I’ve been at my new job for a month. I’ve definitely been playing around with my work outfits more and getting creative with my limited business casual wardrobe.
Sweater: Target (similar here)
Skirt: Banana Republic (Ivory version)
Purse: Forever 21 (similar here)
Can you tell I just got off of work?
I played with patterns and textures today. The striped pattern is bold enough to pair with the smaller wool knit on the skirt. I balanced the black collar of the sweater with a large necklace, and kept my tights and shoes neutral. I was skeptical about my outfit as I was heading out the door, but the more I shamelessly looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, the more I liked it.
I am tired of wearing dark colors though. Come to me, spring!
Have a great Tuesday and thank you for reading.
